MEDAN, Waspada.co.id – The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Sumatera Utara Province is overseeing the matching and research (coklit) process in updating voter data conducted by the General Election Commission (KPU) of Sumatera Utara and the Regency/City KPU.
This was conveyed by the Sumatera Utara The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Public Relations Division Coordinator Marwan, Tuesday (2/14). He said, in the working period until March 14, Bawaslu Sumatera Utara ensured that this stage was running.
“We coordinate that the Regency / City Bawaslu works, ensuring that Pantarlih is checking and examining the voters list in their work area, especially at polling stations from the documents brought by Pantarlih from the KPU,” said Marwan.
Marwan said that during the coklit process, there must be houses visited by Pantarlih officers that are uninhabited. Therefore, Bawaslu asked that no people’s voting rights be scattered.
Furthermore, he appealed to the public to accept the presence of Pantarlih officers. Bawaslu Sumatera Utara reminded if there are family members who are 17 years old, to register them to vote.
“We also ask the community to inform other communities, so that the coklit process is successful,” he said.
Marwan reminded the public to immediately report to officers if there are family members who move permanently, and if there are family members who join the TNI and Polri.
“So that voting rights are not abused, including reporting if there are members who have died, so that it does not become additional work for PPS, PPK and district / city KPU,” he concluded. (wol/din/d1)
