MEDAN, WOL – North Sumatera’s Governor in Chief, Tengku Erry Nuradi opened a national seminar held by Kopja USU with North Sumatera University and North Sumatera University’s alumni association, at Gelanggang Mahasiswa’s North Sumatera University, Medan, Tuesday (3/5).
At the national seminar, they talked about North Sumatera is preparing great human resources to answer ACE’s challenges. Nuradi said we have to be ready to compete in South East Asia. ACE has been signed since 1997 in ASEAN conference in Kuala Lumpur and ASEAN conference in Bali (2003). “Ready or not ready, we have to be ready. The show must go on.” said the governor in chief.
Nuradi thought ACE can’t be seen as challenges but we should see it as chances. Because of that, Nuradi invited everyone to take a chance in ACE’s era. He said there are so many things in need to be repair and upgraded.
Nuradi hopes North Sumatera University as the oldest university in Sumatera can be one of the greatest university in national scale outside of Java.
Meanwhile, North Sumatera University’s principal Runtung Sitepu is appreciating North Sumatera Unversity’s alumni association and North Sumatera University to do this national seminar.
Runtung said North Sumatera University’s rank has been decreasing to number 36 with B acreditation. (wol/nia/data1)
