Angkasa Pura: Contractor lack of sand, landfill WASPADA ONLINE MEDAN, N SUMATRA - State airport operator company Angkasa Pura (AP) II reported Monday lacks of sand and landfill to continue new airport construction at Kuala Namu, Deli Serdang district. "Runway construction for the project has been delayed for two weeks due to sand and landfill lackaside," AP's Spokesman for Project Implementation Unit Wisnu Budi Setianto said here. PT Waskita Yasa, the contractor which is hired to supply those building materials, gets trouble to collect them from local trader. "In connection with this issue, PT Waskita Yasa demands excavation license through Deli Serdang regional government," he said. According to him, the license would ease the contractor to supply those materials. "So, it must not depend on local trader." "We just realize 10 percent of land construction for runway," he said, adding that runway is expected to finish in 2012. "It takes longer than we predict, since the site was paddy field and swamp area." Translated by: Ananta Politan Bangun(dat01/wol/ant) |
