MEDAN - City administration office said Wednesday has planned a transportation development in lieu of figuring out congestion problem.
"Medan government is accomplishing the concept of mass rapid transit (MRT) - both busway and monorail service," City Secretry Syaiful Bahri told newsmen here.
According to him, city government and Transportation agency have made simulation of future traffic lane. "So far, the simulation held on Jalan Gatot Subroto street," he said.
"Trans Medan busway is expected to have 7 corridors started in 2012," Syaiful added.
In spite of the detail planning, city administration office still uncertain to have adequate budget.
Syaiful expects the Transportation Ministry would support the plan along with several investors. "But, I don't think it is a big issue. We are ready studying the budget requirement with City Transportation agency."
