MEDAN, N SUMATRA - The new hospital built by University of Sumatera Utara (USU) - which is in ongoing construction - is to be named biggest hospital in Indonesia.
According to National Education Deputy Minister Fasli Jalal said the hospital called as “Rumah Sakit Pendidikan USU” will be the biggest in the teaching hospital category. "Besides, the independency status will be the first to run in nation," said Fasli, as quoted here on Tuesday.
He is sure the new hospital would figure out social phenomenon in which more local residents prefer to have abroad medical service.
"USU has many specialist doctors to prove the quality of local hospital," he said.
Following USU's hospital construction, Indonesia now has 13 teaching hospitals along with University of Diponegoro, University of Padjajaran; University of Hasanuddin; University of Indonesia; University of Andalas; State University of Sebelas Maret (UNS); University of Udayana; University of Airlangga; University of Brawijaya; University of Tanjung Pura and the University of Mataram.
