MEDAN – State-owned power firm (PT PLN) vowed that commenced by 2010 there will no shut-down electricity in rotation due to economic slow-down in North Sumatera, the electricty supply would be covered entirely.
"It was not meant that I convince there would be any extinguishing, because if it is any damage, so the shut-down would be acted," General Manager of PLN for main generator project of Aceh, Sumut, Riau, Bintatar Hutabarat said here on Tuesday (Jan.26).
Hutabarat told that PLN belived that Sumut electricity supply would be satiable started by April 2010, due to the two generators in Labuhan Angin, Sibolga, with the capacity is about 115 MW has been completed and active, furthermore, the development of coal-fired steam power steam power plant (PLTU) of Sumut II in Langkat regency would have finished in the near future, so that the electricity supply for Sumut need to be predicted that it will be safe on April 2010.
.The reaction of PLN’s pledge, North Sumatera regional House of Representative’s Commission D Ajib Shah told that PLN to be expected not to contravene their promises, if there is no improvement, Commission D agenda a meeting along with PLN general director in Jakarta to talk about the refresment PLN functionary.
He expected thatPLN focused on enhanching service over people without distrurbing Industry’s need in Sumut.
